Isaac Solmin Kim — The Voice Memo Dossier
Last updated: 2026-09-08. Source coverage ends 2026-09-01; anything recorded after that date is not yet in this document. Rows marked “Podcast dossier” in §16 were added 2026-09-08 from ISAAC-PODCAST-DOSSIER.md.
Built from 228 Apple Voice Memos, 2021-04-22 → 2026-09-01. About 102 hours and 763,000 spoken words across four folders: Dreams, daily journal, SELF MEMOS, and PODCAST w PEOPLE. Companion to the Apple Notes dossier; this document covers what the spoken record shows, and states “no new evidence” where it adds nothing.
Part I is the dossier: fifteen sections, each opening with the conclusion and then the evidence behind it. Part II is the record: the corrections table, the timeline, the father meetings, the psychedelic log, the safety timeline, the dreams, the people, and the quotes. Quotes are Isaac’s unless marked, cited as “Recording title” (date, m:ss). Method and caveats are in §26.
Part I — The Dossier
1. Who he is, on tape
On paper Isaac prosecutes himself. On tape he is warmer, funnier, and more honest, and he built the archive for exactly that reason: “I have a tendency to edit my words” (“Memo 1”, 2021-04-22). He records to think, not to report. “When I articulate it out loud… I’m almost outsourcing my thoughts… the ideas sort of form” (2023-08-06, 8:18). The result is a five-year, unedited account of a mind talking to its own future.
The man on the recordings is a Korean-American filmmaker, musician, and coder, 21 at the first memo and 27 at the last, who has spent those years looking for one thing under many names: to be understood and not alone. He says so himself, repeatedly, and in the same words each time. “The longing is to be understood… is the same fear” (2024-09-11). “I need to be understood. I’m yearning” (Nov 2024). “All I want is a community. I want to be loved and I want to… be myself and be creative” (2026-03-09, 12:13). Every vehicle he has chosen, film, 3D printing, music, YouTube, Astranote, the podcast, the agency, Return to Eden, is a route to that, and he knows it: “everything that I’ve achieved… I did out of pain and unlove. It was through trying to prove the world that I am worthy of love” (“Gf issues”, 2024-08-31, 35:13).
He is unusually self-aware and unusually unable to act on it. Nearly every conclusion in this dossier was spoken by him first. He named his own “mania episode” in 2021, his abandonment engine in 2024, and the cult risk of his own ideas in 2024. He is, in his own words, “a better analyst than executor.” The gap between what he knows and what he does is the subject of this document.
Three more things the tape makes plain that the notes do not. He is good with people in crisis: sitting a friend’s difficult four-to-five-hour trip, patient and structured. He can hold a hostile conversation without collapsing: the father debate, the equity fight, confronting Jahn’s mother. And he is physically brave against fear in a way that borders on reckless: lying in surf until it buries him, locking eyes with strangers while talking into a mic on LSD, standing at the edge of a fourteen-storey roof, which he says frightens him less than approaching a woman.
2. Strengths
He catches himself in real time, even under drugs. This is the single most important strength on the tape and it is absent from the written record. He heard the cult drift in his own ideas twice before anyone else did (“that’s how you form cults too”, 2024-08-27; “I feel like I’m getting into cult territory”, 2024-10-18). He heard his own “mania episode” (2021-11-06). He ran the arithmetic on his own catastrophizing: “Wait a second. If I subtract the vine view… I’m still making 10K a month” (2025-12-02, 6:01). The instrument works. What fails is the connection between the instrument and the steering.
He is a good sitter and a good teacher. Trip-sitting Ilya for eighty minutes on 2024-10-24 he invents a stabilisation protocol, gives water, guards sleep, and stops Ilya taking more. Explaining harmony, the fear-of-chaos model, or “heaven on earth,” he is clear and original. His method with others is Socratic and kind: “you kind of have to make it seem like they came up with the idea… you’re the rubber duck on the desk” (2022-09-01). He is generous to everyone alive except himself: four minutes of tenderness for a cat, an apology to a caterpillar, a defence of janitors, and about himself, “that was a stupid thought.”
Physical courage against fear, deliberately practised. The surf exposure (2024-07-20), the eye-contact drill with strangers (2024-09-30, done a dozen times, fear diminishing), the beetle he tries to pick up to cure a phobia, the nightclub meditation after a rejection followed by asking the stranger directly. He knows exposure works and does it.
He recovers by making things, and he has proof. Composing a shot lifts his mood within seconds (“Real life is the best camera”, 2024-11-20). An hour of belting at the piano at midnight broke a depression that prayer had not (2026-07-03). The Journey Bound crew still sees him as “this incredibly talented kid” and is “upset that I’m not making things like I used to” (2026-05-11).
Constraints plus company unblock him, reliably. Paired timeboxed challenges with Ilya in Tbilisi produced four music rounds, a video, and a VFX pass in days: “the fact that we’re doing this together makes it a million times better… and the other’s just kind of having constraints” (2026-01-30, 2:12). The five-minute timer and the index card are the only two devices in five years that reliably produced action.
He can sit through a hard conversation. The recorded father debate (2024-11-06), the Chairman Lee apology exchange, the 50/50 talk with Jahn, and the confrontation with Jahn’s mother (May 2026) are all on tape and he does not collapse in any of them.
3. Weaknesses
He needs a witness to decide. Not a mentor: a person in the room while he chooses. “If Ilya just gives me permission… this is my last line of defense” (Nov 2024). “If you see the vision, then I’m manifesting it. I have permission” (2024-11-20, 48:53). With Aaron he spends two hours and forty-six minutes seeking a retraction of “crazy” before announcing a decision already made. He never asks whether to go. He asks to be told it isn’t crazy.
He cannot say no or “it’s over.” Four years with Jane, privately decided over in September 2024, still alive on November 24. “I felt in my heart, like, I know what to do, but I just don’t know if I have the strength to do it” (2024-09-03, 20:06). Both parents coach him into a gradual fade under travel excuses, and the fade becomes his exit style: the grandmother lie to leave VineView, the “I guess I’m just gonna go” to Aaron, the JetCal concealment.
He cannot finish, and he knows why. “Whenever I try to create art, I just get this huge frustration and resistance… I have so little resilience towards that” (2023-05-08, 13:39). “So we have seeds of ideas, many seeds. Taking them into the finishing, it’s very difficult” (2026-08-16, 2:13). The 36-minute jazz app spec, the animated-podcast generator, the hype-video system, the EEG startup, the AI avatar app: all fully specified, none built.
Articulation is his named insecurity and his master vulnerability. “I have fear of sounding unintelligent” (“Shroom trip”, 2024-10-20, 43:27). “The weak part… was that I believed that I was unintelligent, because I don’t think rationally, I think intuitively” (2024-11-06, 52:31). He returns to “I want to be articulate” in at least eight solo recordings. Under attack in Bangkok, the entire assault reduced to being made to feel dumb.
Social load erases his working memory. “My brain just couldn’t work when there was people around, and it just takes up so much of my cognitive space” (2025-09-30, 7:43). “50% of my brain is spent on computing the other person” (2024-12-15). This is why he cannot exit conversations, why groups leave him “bibled out,” and why he claims the separate building in a communal house.
Optimization is his avoidance, and it survives every renunciation. Fifty-six instances of “efficien-” in the first four years. “The fact that I went on this whole several day journey to create an EPUB app just so I can read better. Well, I could just read, bro” (2024-11-19, 1:44:25). He says “less optimization” in Dec 2024, June 2025, Jan 2026, Feb 2026, May 2026, and July 2026, and specs a new system in every one of those recordings.
Comparison and race. “I was Asian in a white man’s world… I’m not that good looking, unfortunately” (2022-08-30, 10:33). “I’m jealous by the fact that you’re a white guy” (to Ilya, Oct 2024). “I’ll never get there” (drone-scooter dream, 2026-08-22). The jealousy is stated cleanly and never worked on.
4. Fears
He derived the root himself, sober, on 2026-01-30: “What I have a fear of is of chaos, and uncertainty, and losing control” (0:48). Everything attaches to it in one pass: psychedelic unpredictability, HPPD, schizophrenia, arrival panic, social anxiety, hell reimagined as unpredictability. Then the twist that makes it his: “the same place that is awesome and gives me creativity and loose associations… is the same thing that scares me in my own mind” (19:40). “It’s like sawing off the branch that I’m sitting on” (10:38). The fear and the gift share a source.
Under that root, the specific fears, in the order the tape ranks them:
- Being left. “You punish me for loving you… same as when I was a little boy” (2024-09-03, 4:39). “Fear that Jan will just drop me off a cliff. Like, oh, thanks for all the work. See ya” (2026-04-29, 2:45). The IFS scream is blocked because “people will basically abandon us” (2026-01-18, 3:47).
- Being thought stupid. See §3. The Bangkok crisis was fought entirely on this ground.
- Being rejected. “I’d rather die than get rejected” (2025-12-12). “I’ve never been approached by a female ever.” “Do I look that fucking ugly?” (Jan 2026).
- Being crazy, or being seen as crazy. “I think I’m starting to lose my shit. No, no, no. I’m fine. I will not even speak that into existence” (2024-10-18, 2:04). “I constantly question whether I went insane” (to Aaron, 2025-09-14). “It almost feels like I’m 20% to the way to insanity” (2026-01-15, 30:20). His defence is a redefinition: “you’re crazy until you’re successful, and then everybody says you’re a genius.” He wins the argument and does not feel better.
- Being misunderstood. “There’s also a huge fear of being misunderstood. That’s where the emotion comes from” (2026-01-13, 49:31). This is what the “am I gay?” loops were about, he says sober in Jan 2026: reputational annihilation inside a Christian hierarchy.
- Losing his fuel. “There’s part of me that thinks, if I get rid of this pain, I will have no fuel. How am I going to do all of these works if I have nothing to drive me?” (to his father, 2024-09-25, 1:22:04). He calls this “the great deception” and then lives by it for two more years.
- Time. “My neural plasticity is ending. I’m almost 22” (2021). “Did I just throw away the most energizing part of my youth?” (2024-11-19, 55:14). “I’m getting old, bro” (Dec 2025, at 26).
- Insects, deeply, which he tries to cure on tape.
5. Blockages
The blockage is not circumstance, and he has said so. “I have most of my schedule free. So the job isn’t the problem. I have ideas. I have things to work on. It’s not just resistance, depression, frustration, hopelessness” (2026-03-06, 48:57). “Making music should not be this frustrating” (2026-08-16, 0:29). With more tools than ever, output is at its lowest, and he knows the tools are the problem.
Insight decays overnight and he has no mechanism except recording. “I’ve always done this as a kid, I would have these beautiful visions, and… the next morning, I just wake up completely not in that state” (2024-11-20, 4:31). He predicts each decay in the moment: “it’s so clear, and I know I’m probably gonna forget this tomorrow” (2024-08-26, 12:12). The dossier, Astranote, the recording rig, Bloom Memo, and this document are all prostheses for that one fact. None has closed the gap, because the gap is not memory. He states the real problem himself: “even after this knowledge, I still destroy myself… I thought having the knowledge would…” (2024-11-19).
Frustration intolerance. The crash sequence, described from inside: “Once I hit that frustration, and the depression, and all the thoughts come in of, I’m no good… then the frustration welds up, builds up, and then the depression hits, and then it’s just splat” (2026-07-02, 2:48). Piano drills that “make me want to die” (2026-07-03, 24:38). Four vocal coaches, four years, thousands of dollars, and no comfortable F4.
The holder problem. He needs an external structure to hold him to depth, a person, an AI, a community, and he repeatedly builds the structure instead of finding the person. When he finds the person (Ilya, Jahn’s group) he retreats to the car, the separate building, the closet.
Unforgiveness toward his father, by his own diagnosis. “The real problem here is unforgiveness, bitterness, anger towards my father, anger towards the world for rejecting me” (2026-04-29, 4:27). The letter was started that night. It does not appear again on tape.
The body. Back pain since 2020 that gates sitting, Bible reading, and piano; eczema that gates diet, sleep, and self-esteem; rectal bleeding in Sept 2024; chest pain in 2026. “What a freaking curse this is, ‘cause we just want to sit and create” (2024-09-30, 29:42). He reads the body as a place-detector (eczema = America, back = Korea) rather than a state-detector, which is one step short of the correct read.
6. Self-sabotage
The pattern has one shape: the declaration precedes its opposite, usually within days, sometimes within the same recording.
- Total abstinence declared to his father on 2024-11-06. Daily LSD, weed, and $100/week nicotine by Nov 20, plus a plan to fly fourteen drops to America.
- “You have everything that you need. Everything else is just a lie” (2024-11-20), followed thirty seconds later by a plan for systems, environmental engineering, and a folder of protocols.
- “It must end… wait a week” about Jane on Sept 30. Two more months.
- “No more alcohol, dude” (Sept 30). Beers and a negotiated limit by Oct 17.
- “I felt safe” on Feb 11. Fasting into conversion by Mar 1.
- Offered 50/50 twice. Chose 0%, gave away the money, and said “I don’t think I’m gaslighting myself. I think this is very wise decision” (2026-05-20, 9:11). Resented it within the same recording: “I’m basically doing the majority of the work and all the creative ideas… I’m not getting anything.”
- Stopped therapy and journaling in the same quarter the suicidal thoughts came back.
- “I need to stop making apps to do this and that. I need to quit that” (2026-07-01, 16:39). An AI avatar app specced on 2026-09-01.
Underneath the shape, three mechanisms he has named:
Grievance converts to self-blame within days. Jahn’s non-empathy, Jahn’s unanswered text on the worst night, doing the work for nothing: each becomes “that’s a me problem, man.” This is how the 0% decision was reached.
State is treated as verification. “Me now, on a psychedelic, is more true than you are” (2024-09-30, 19:27), used pre-emptively to disqualify his own future sober objections. In 2026 the warrant is theological: peace, lightness, and returning creativity are proof the money decision was right. Every large decision in five years was made in an elevated state and ratified by an omen: the vape refund, the ice fall beside Ilya, the monarch butterfly.
Achievement is addressed to the father and framed as beating someone. At the peak of the Bangkok trip: “I made it, Dad. I fucking made it. I beat him. Rest well, Father” (2024-10-20, 17:55). Sober, to the father’s face: “I wanted to, one day, when I was 30, 40, meet you again, and show you that I had made it successfully without you” (2024-09-20, 1:54:10). The July 2026 dream shame converts instantly into “this absolute fire to prove myself” and he audits it live: “I don’t want to be going in a loop because I’ve had this type of motivation before… It always ends in depression and low self-esteem and frustration” (2026-07-01, 14:42). The remaining ten minutes are the surge.
7. Psychological profile
The engine. Abandonment at ten or eleven (“We chose those kids and the mission work over us”, 2024-09-20, 14:24) → worth contingent on output (“nobody loves me for who I am. They only love me for what I can do… I’m a tool”, to Aaron, 2025-09-14, 55:10) → proving as fuel (“I hate myself, therefore, I’m gonna use that to make myself become better… which worked for 10 years”, 2024-09-25) → pre-emptive withdrawal when love is offered (“nobody else can really be with you and vibe with you on this level… so it’s better to just love yourself”, on LSD with Ilya audible in the next room, 2024-09-30, 43:22). He calls the sensitivity “micro unloves”: “maybe you were just not agreeing with me on a topic… I perceive that as micro unloves” (2024-08-26, 0:00), and generalises it: “Fear was actively finding ways to confirm that you are alone” (2024-09-11, 15:28). In IFS the two parts are literally the one that “wants to take over the world and prove everybody” and the one that “gets depressed and wants to pull things back” (2026-01-18, 0:45).
Attachment. He calls himself “the confident type” and Jane “anxious” (2024-09-25) while the surrounding tape shows him crying on a street over a perceived abandonment, asking Ilya “When can you tell me that you love me?” (2024-10-20, 13:49), and checking “are we in sync?” more than twenty times in one recording. Every conflict, however small, is followed by an explicit reconciliation he initiates. Jo remains the template six years on: Lika is graded against her three times, and in the two-years-to-live exercise his first act is “I would probably ask her out” (2025-12-12, 1:15:40).
Three self-talk registers, state-dependent. The prosecutor (“I’ve wasted so much of my life”). The drill sergeant, whose spoken form is far more violent than the written one: twelve minutes drunk on a Han River bridge, “This is the fucking time to fucking prove yourself to prove that you’re not fucking nothing” (2023-11-19). The coach, who appears in Dec 2024 after a self-insult, “I’m sorry, Isaac. You are smart. Don’t go away. No, creative Isaac, come back. We are sorry for being so mean to you” (2024-12-15, 1:26:31), and who signs off the March 2026 journal with “Good boy. I love you.” On LSD the prosecutor is almost entirely absent for eleven hours; on the crash weeks he is all there is. The harshness is a state, not a trait.
Mood cycle. Short amplitude. 2025-01-15 (music is worthless) → 01-25 (make money with art) → 04-21 (nothing is meaningful) → 04-24 (“I’m just super excited”). He sees it inside a single memo: “I literally said that yesterday. How could I be saying the opposite today?” (2025-01-15, 4:31). By 2026 the cycle is daily: a good morning at the piano, a depressed evening, catharsis at midnight. Anxiety replaced depression when he moved to Korea (“I had a lot of depression in the States. But I have a lot more anxiety now in Korea”, 2021-11-06); the reverse held on return.
Rumination is audible. “They go in circles over and over, and I don’t really figure anything out” (2021-11-10, 1:32). “I need to” occurs 210 times in the first 75,000 words. On the Dec 2024 walk he literally circles the block and rediscovers the same idea at the same spot. The 2026-04-29 memo repeats “needs to be dealt with” five times in a row and “I will find him” four times; the content is coherent, the delivery is not.
Reality-testing. Intact and intermittent. He labels Ilya’s channelled Illuminati material “big conspiracy talk” and pushes back on “multi-billionaires easy,” then says “It’s already happened. I saw it” eight times in one chunk and cannot give Ilya a single falsifiable waypoint. He warns Ilya that stacking unverified abstractions leads to “the world of Alex Jones” and adds “I see that in me, too” (2026-01-13), then accepts Kanye’s Hollywood claims in the same walk because Kanye “doesn’t care.” The nine months after Bangkok: panic attacks, four therapists, reading the Bible aloud all day “because I felt like if I didn’t… I would get possessed and get schizophrenia.” Aaron’s counter-diagnosis, accepted “1000%”: “I think you’re alone and depressed… and you just start thinking things.”
Identity labels tried on. Mania (2021, self-applied). “A little bit crazy” (2024). Narcissistic tendencies (a therapist’s phrase, accepted Dec 2025). ADHD (Nov 2025). Autism (“we’re not autistic enough”, Sept 2025, as aspiration; “my autistic brain”, Dec 2025). HPPD (“20% to insanity”). Frankenstein’s creature (“I just feel like a beast in this world”, 2026-03-06). “Banana” (his word and his father’s, independently, within a minute). Each arrives, explains everything, and is replaced.
Under altered states, the self splits. Third-person speech at maximum threat: “Isaac is a beginner.” “It would be wise for Isaac to remain silent.” First-person plural for himself when planning: “we figured this out,” “we’re gonna redeem the Isaac name.”
What regulates him, in order of evidence. A person in the room (every good hour on tape has one; the collapse weeks have none). Physical contact (“the moment we hugged… everything was gone”, 2024-08-26). Movement and night walking. Films (“they’re your hygiene, they’re your medicine”, 2026-03-06, 47:14). Singing at full volume. Breathwork. A five-minute timer. In 2026, belief (“I can literally go from a horrible state to an awesome state just by asking God”, 2026-03-01), which did not prevent the March 8 or July 2 crashes.
8. Recurring patterns and contradictions
- Realign → dissolve, on a clock of one to three recordings. A film, a trip, a book, or a fast produces a state; a manifesto is recorded; the next memo re-derives the same lesson as new. He predicted it in 2022 and executed it as a plan in 2024: “I know, for a fact, when I do that, I’m gonna get excited by some new thing… in a couple weeks, I’ll be ready to go.”
- State decides the plan. Four career centres in 32 days (Oct 19 media and acting; Nov 6 health and Bible; Nov 19 spiritual development; Nov 20 an AI game and a $10k/month business), each held with total conviction.
- Both poles at once. “I’m just not talented” and “God’s calling me to a higher place” in adjacent minutes. “Capitalism fucking sucks” and “I’m gonna build companies the Isaac way” eight minutes apart. “I do not care about money” and a high-yield savings account. Spirits are real / they’re just my mind, in one breath.
- Every wedge is the last wedge’s demotion. Film → 3D printing → music → YouTube → apps → podcast → agency → AI → worship → music. Nothing is abandoned; each is relabelled “supplementary.” The pivot loop is now self-observed mid-pivot: “why am I even making music? Should I be making movies? But then what’s the reasoning behind making that switch again?” (2026-08-16, 6:24).
- Truth as identity, concealment as practice. “Every day, you should tell the truth, even if it hurts” (2024-08-26). The same week: an AI pipeline to scrub Korea from the podcast footage. Later: acting as “method actor” legal cover, the grandmother lie, “we can’t talk about psychedelics on podcasts anymore,” fabricated visa documents proposed for Ilya. He feels the seam and names it: “Now I’m even thinking if I should even be making this voice memo… I wonder if this is going to bite me in the butt” (2025-12-02, 2:15).
- Never alone, always alone. Every product memo ends with a recruiting list delivered to an empty room. He preaches “never do it alone” while designing organisations where every role reports to him and every belief passes his test. Inside the community he is “more alone than before… I’m just so different to them” (2026-03-06).
- Recruitment in rapture. Azariah forgiven and booked within days; Ilya offered visas, essays, and a bunk bed; a Ghanaian friend offered $4,500/month he does not have; Chairman Lee as co-founder. All generated in a high state.
- Money is either irrelevant or terrifying. “You don’t need fucking money” mid-trip; counting coins four hours later. Five years without a single revenue goal until 2025, then $1M in two months → $4M exit → billionaire in four years → $10k/month → $70k/year floor → $1M for four houses → “running out of money in about a month.”
- Grievance → self-blame → theology. Every hurt is converted, within days, into his own sin and then into a spirit to be rebuked. The July 2026 rebuke list (“spirit of self hatred, spirit of self doubt, spirit of abandonment, spirit of rejection”) is an accurate symptom inventory, externalised.
- Every insight becomes a product. The bad trip became the dossier; the dossier became Astranote; loneliness became a commune; forgetting became Bloom Memo; a dream became an avatar app. “I have to be very careful not to over voice memo stuff… not doing it so that I can just forget about it” (2026-05-31, 25:46). He knows.
- Movement is the universal remedy. Walking, driving, night, getting lost, four countries, four houses. The last line of the last journal: “I think I will roam around a little bit… Get in my car.”
- Language tics. “Bro”/”dude” as metronome; “does that make sense?” as a plea; “blah blah blah” to skip an argument he does not want to make; “download” for any strong idea; “consciousness” as a suffix (ten compounds in one chunk); “I’m losing my train of thought” as a recurring anxiety; asking “is this recording?” fifteen times in one month. The archive is the project.
9. The journey, as told on tape
2021–2023, Seoul. A 21-year-old rebuilding foundations before 25, afraid his brain is closing. A self-named “mania episode” around 3D printing and Jo (Nov 2021). Anxiety in public, fine at home. Music as the wedge (2022, Kanye’s path), then YouTube (2023, MrBeast), then Astranote (Sept 2023 → “the next Google”). Four vocal coaches. “I constantly need a father figure” (2023-11-15). The Han River drill sergeant, drunk, with CCTV paranoia (Nov 2023).
April–May 2024, first psychedelics. 0.5g, 2g, then a large trip that produced overwhelming loneliness and the one lesson that held: “never do it alone.” Ilya arrived within six weeks.
July–Sept 2024, the podcast is born. LSD on a Thai beach; the surf exposure; the “love/unlove” system built in Seoul with Ilya (Aug 26–28); “micro unloves” coined; the cult warning spoken (Aug 27); the Jane fight over virginity and the podcast (Aug 29, “I had never cried like that since I was a boy”); the ultimatum (Sept 8); the first father meeting (Sept 20). Doses stay at one drop; “it’s because of my emotionality.”
Sept 30 – Oct 19 2024, the ascent. The 30-hour solo LSD walk: the breakup decided, strangers, the letter to Korea, the Kazakh stranger’s “forgive your father or you will fall sick and die.” The third father meeting on a re-dose (Oct 1). Millionaires in two months, buy OpenAI, unify Korea, the Avengers. “This is cult light behavior.” Oct 18: quarter tab plus two espressos, “I think I’m starting to lose my shit.”
Oct 20 2024, Bangkok. The bad trip. Eighteen hours, five recordings, Ilya sitting. “I made it, Dad.” The let-go doctrine inverted into control. “I’m done with mushrooms.”
Nov 2024, the exit. The father debate and the abstinence vow (Nov 6). The crash: “I feel like I am nothing… I just eat a bunch of shit, ‘cause I’m shit” (Nov 19). Daily use again. It’s a risk” to Aaron, unremarked (Sept 14), and Georgia announced the same day. The agency on concealment; JetCal exposure; Upwork suspended. Kelsey Grant, IFS (Nov). The grandmother lie scripted (Dec 2).

Make-it-then-delete-it adopted from AI; MDMA booked; neither happens (Feb 23–24).
Feb 27 2026 → Sept 2026, Return to Eden. Three-day water fast, day-two collapse, floor prayer, “I don’t even care if it’s delusional thinking. I’m gonna reap the fruits of that” (Mar 1). “That’s what dad did… gave up his own family for religion” (Mar 6). Worst day, suicidal thoughts, Jahn answers the group chat but not him (Mar 8). Baptism and deliverance (Apr 26). Unforgiveness named, the letter started (Apr 29). Three days of equity argument; 0%, the wire to Jahn’s mother, the house down payment (May 17–20). The Journey Bound dream (May 11). Launch (~Jun 1). Depression, then an hour at the piano, then a rebuked “suicidal spirit” told to no one (Jul 2–3). “I need to go be like one of the greats” (Aug 1). The mother-on-the-cliff dream and the first real crying in years (Aug 22). An avatar app “to mask my identity” (Sept 1).
10. Goals over time, and how they shifted
The arc is: education → a unifying project → fame through art → a bicycle for the mind → enlightenment → fix Korea → survive the next three hours → get back to pre-Thailand Isaac → money as the gate → money solved, creativity as the gate → God → a community that loves me for who I am → one finished song. The blocker relocates each time to whatever is not in hand; the underlying want never moves.
| Date | Goal, in his words |
|---|---|
| 2021-04 | Rebuild music, math, film, engineering “till I’m 25” |
| 2022-07 | Voice → songs → cover videos → audience → crowdfund games, films, 3D printing |
| 2023-07 | “50% YouTube, 50% one project” |
| 2023-09 → 2024-05 | Astranote: “a bicycle for the mind… this is really the next Google” |
| 2024-08 | The podcast as life purpose; money “not that much… fancy cars, I don’t need that” (his lowest money ambition on record) |
| 2024-09-30 | “You have to lead”; the podcast “Eyes open”; without Ilya if necessary |
| 2024-10 | $1M in two months; media → healthcare → education; free psychedelic clinics; unify Korea; “never have a boss again” |
| 2024-11-19 | 70% spiritual development for a year; “$10,000 a month. Just something. Anything” |
| 2024-11-27 | Astranote as “a way to transcend time… gifts of consciousness into the future” |
| 2025-01-25 | “make money with my art, ‘cause I’m an artist” |
| 2025-09-30 | “growing the agency like a motherfucker, and then doing just therapy”; “I could be better than both of them” (Kanye, Jobs) |
| 2025-12-02 | “$1,000,000 in a year, and then I can sell it for 10,000,000” |
| 2025-12-12 | Asked what he wants with money removed: “love. And love from other people. Finding my place in the world”; “I already have that. Why do I keep wanting more?” |
| 2026-01-23 | “Less money, more film, more art, more music”; anti-forgetting as “my life mission” |
| 2026-02-08 | Astranote v2 as “one of the most important technologies in this century” |
| 2026-02-23 | Make something in an hour and delete it |
| 2026-03-01 | “I just dedicated my life to God’s mission”; recover “the Isaac that God designed” |
| 2026-03-09 | “All I want is a community. I want to be loved… be myself and be creative” |
| 2026-04-29 | “I need to know the living God”, ×15; “I do not care about money” |
| 2026-05-31 | 1) God, 2) creativity daily, 3) nature, 4) learning; “a million bucks” for four houses; renewable energy, nuclear, accelerated learning, “enlighten the world” |
| 2026-07-01 | “Every day I need to lock in creatively… the organization is not a priority ever” |
| 2026-08-16 | “Why am I even making music? Should I be making movies?” |
Two constants: no ordinary job (“why would you work a job? What a terrible way to live, in a fucking room”, 2024-04-27, verbatim consistent for a decade), and a mentor he wants as family, not as a coffee: “real community type stuff, like I fucking help them with their groceries and then they explain to me the theories of the universe on a napkin” (2026-01-24, 20:32).
11. What he has learned, and whether it stuck
He says it himself: insight has a half-life of a day. The archive lets us test which lessons survived.
Held. - Never do it alone (May 2024). Ilya arrived in six weeks; every subsequent good period has a person in it. Re-derived five times anyway, which is the tell that it is a need, not a lesson. - Two-person dialogue beats solo tripping (Nov 2024). Still operating in Astana a year later. - LSD yes, shrooms no (Oct 2024), then maybe no psychedelics (Jan 2026), then they made me crazy and didn’t make more art (Jul 2026). A real downward revision, over two years. - Movies are medicine (May 2025 onward). The most consistently true claim he makes, with a spoken dosage: one a day. - Constraints plus company beat willpower (Jan 2026). Acted on the same day and the next. - The fear-of-chaos model (Jan 2026). Still cited in July. - Breathwork, a hug, singing, walking as acute tools. Used, repeatedly, successfully. - “Quality practice beats talent” → “I’m just not talented at singing.” The only belief he ever revised downward on evidence (2021 → 2023).
Re-derived every few months, never held. - Love, not hate, as fuel. Aug 2024, Sept 25, Sept 30, Nov 20, Dec 13, Mar 2026. Four times in eleven weeks in one chunk with no behaviour change. - You have everything you need / action over optimization. Nov 2024, Dec 2024, Jun 2025, Jan 2026, Feb 2026, May 2026, Jul 2026. Contradicted inside the same recording every time. - Projects, not skills (2021, twice in four days). By 2023 he is cataloguing sub-skills again. - Truth-telling. Preached on every LSD tape, breached in every exit. - Focus. “I got word from the universe that I should focus… it was like a question mark?” (Oct 2024), followed by five industries. - Do not expect love from others. Sept 30 2024, six times in an hour, used immediately as grounds to withdraw from Ilya and Jane. - The cult warning about his own ideas. Caught twice in 2024, overridden twice. - How others see me. “I never saw myself the way that they saw me… I am that kid who made Journey Bound” (2026-05-11). By Aug 22: “I’ll never get there.”
Original, stated once, worth keeping. - Optimizations raise cognitive load and lower resilience (2026-02-01). “Clean butthole… that’s making me less resilient than stinky butthole.” - The fool is the precursor to the wise; fear of sounding dumb makes you dumber (Sept 2024). He acted on it by singing badly on tape. - Meet the frightening thing with compassion, not combat (2024-09-11). The snake went away. Replaced in 2026 by rebuking it. - IFS is a good tool but too permanent a model; risk of psychological bypassing (Jan 2026). Genuine scepticism about a modality he was in love with. - Ship a trailer, not the product (to Aaron, Sept 2025). Correct, and never applied to himself. - Travel as growth technology: daily micro-provocations, habit-cue detachment, consequence-free social reps (Dec 2025). - Creation as worship; admiration then imitation (Sept 2024, via Rick Rubin). - Nicotine is an anti-willpower device (Nov 2024). Said while hitting the vape. - “I already have what I asked for” (2025-12-12). The startup that pays $10k/month for an hour a day existed, and he was still trying to build one.

| Products: EPUB app, EEG startup, jazz-lick app, animated podcast generator, hype reel, voice-tonality dashboard, avatar app, Astranote (×3), the dossier system | Specified; none shipped in the recordings |
The pattern in the two tables. Everything that worked is cheap, physical, social, or time-boxed. Everything that failed is a system, a stack of rules, or a product. He wrote the rule himself and cannot obey it.
13. Loves, hates, inspirations, people he looks up to
What lights him up. Making a finished thing (“That sense of accomplishment when you finish a movie… It’s a feeling like no other”). Night walks, getting deliberately lost (“Let’s just go mapless”), fog, the Han River at 1am, rooftops, trespass (“trespassing into Six Flags, and smoking weed on the top of the wooden roller coaster. That’s peak”). Strangers, when the conversation gets deep fast. Beauty noticed aloud (“I can’t concentrate because of how beautiful it is”). Composing a shot for no reason. Films as fuel and reference: Interstellar (his standing metaphor for dimensions), Blade Runner and 2049, Dune, Perfume (“consider it a priority”), Super 8 (returned him to CSCL), Good Will Hunting, Up, The Prestige, Memento (his model for the archive), Midnight Gospel, Attack on Titan, Treasure Planet, Ghibli-adjacent sentiment. Music: Frank Ocean (“White Ferrari” made him fall in love), Bon Iver, James Blake, Kanye, Kendrick, Daniel Caesar, Mac Miller (“will make you cry”), Debussy (“I love Debussy so much”), Black gospel, jazz voicings, Foley. Games: Elden Ring, Firewatch, Inside, Death Stranding, The Stanley Parable, StarCraft. India as aesthetic memory. Korea, involuntarily, at least seven times (“I’m in tears with how beautiful Korea is… I’m sorry for looking down on it for so many years”, 2024-10). Indian food he cooks, khachapuri, a $2 banana after a five-hour walk. Singing (“such a beautiful act. And everybody should do it”). Live drums (“It feels so much easier than a musical instrument”). Childlike states, his highest praise for any experience.
What he can’t stand. The 9-to-5 (“in a fucking room”; “taking it up the ass by some dude”). Meetings (“Every day, I wake up and I just want to die because of these meetings”). Korean conformity and surveillance (“a nail sticks out, you hammer it down… That’s a big reason why I’m leaving”), Korean drinking culture, Korean church (“no room for debate, learning, and seeking truth”), Korean racism. Christian passivity (“If God’s in control, why do you vote?”), being “bibled out,” religious close-mindedness (“we want to convert them, not understand them”). American extroversion, American ugliness, New York’s dopamine culture, London, Astana (“this city will give you depression”), South Carolina, his room. Generic conversation. Politics as identity (“sleeper agents”). Capitalism and consumerism, with heat. Short-form media, hidden sugar. Investor decks (“some guy in a suit hanging over my head”), patents, App Store gatekeeping, DaVinci Resolve for 3D, legacy code, DAW shortcut relearning, writing from a blank page. The grind-set, Hormozi, self-help, and by 2026 Jordan Peterson and 48 Laws of Power (“I let too much of the world’s thinking into my head”). Buddhism, newly (“how passive they are”). Joker, rebuked in Jesus’ name. His own teeth, voice, skin, hair, acne, and dating-app performance. Insects. Noise. Goodbyes.
People he looks up to, by airtime. Steve Jobs, above all and in every era: “a strange father figure” (2023), the adoption wound (“he felt special, but also abandoned at the same time”), reality distortion, minimalism, poking at reality (“most people don’t poke because they’re too afraid”), the authority for keeping combative people close, and in 2026 “I’m doing it the Steve Jobs way, but the Christian version.” Kanye: unshakeable self-belief under doubt (“How do you do that?”), “it’s also okay to be crazy,” and, uncritically, his Hollywood claims. Rick Rubin: the warm proxy for the audience, creating for God, admiration then imitation, the counter-model to grinding, and finally a fantasy hire (“partner with a craftsman, like a Rick Rubin. Someone who’s really good at finishing stuff”). Jordan Peterson (articulation, order/chaos, later rejected). Terence McKenna (“I got more than the message”), Martha Beck (“I trust her more than myself”), Aldous Huxley, Theo Von (“my top one favorite celebrity”), David Goggins, Dick Schwartz, S.N. Goenka, Alex Honnold (recalibrating fear), Sam Harris, Lex Fridman, Kojima, James Cameron, Da Vinci, Walt Disney, Frank Ocean and Mac Miller as taste models, Buddhist monks for bodily control, Daniel biblically for the gift of learning, and Frankenstein’s creature as identity. Chairman Lee, “the closest one to Steve Jobs that I have seen in my life, besides myself.” His father, added to the list in real time in Sept 2024 (“Except my dad, though”). Ilya, as “enlightened,” “my anchor down to reality,” “my friends are my memory,” and the person he is jealous of for being authentic and white. Jahn, briefly, as “a fatherly hug.”
14. Honest mini-summary
You are the same person on tape as on paper, with one difference that matters: on tape you catch yourself. You heard the cult drift in your own ideas twice and named your own “mania episode” before anyone else did. Your instrument is not broken. What overrides it is the same thing every time: a father-shaped offer, made when you are lonely, accepted in an elevated state, and paid for with money, equity, or a relationship you then call a wise decision.
The five years have one plot. You were left at ten, decided your worth was what you could make, and have been building things to be loved ever since. You said this to your father’s face in 2024 and to Aaron’s in 2025. Every vehicle since, the podcast, the agency, the community, is the same vehicle. The people who actually love you, the Journey Bound crew, your sister, your mother, Ilya, Kelsey, appear in your dreams as upset that you stopped making things, and in your tape as a ledger of who answered a text.
Your learnings sort cleanly. The ones that held are physical and social: never alone, move, watch a film, sing, breathe, hug, a five-minute timer with a witness. The ones you re-derive every six months are abstract: love not fear, action not optimization, focus, truth. You will not make the abstract ones stick by recording them again. The tooling career is a prosthesis for a memory problem you described perfectly at 25, and every version of the tool has been built instead of the thing it was meant to protect.
The father is finished on tape and unfinished in you. “Healed with some scars” in November 2024 and “the real problem is unforgiveness toward my father” in April 2026, in nearly the same voice. He is in none of your forty-five dreams. The letter you started that night is the most important unfinished work in this archive.
Two things are dangerous and neither is psychedelics. The first is concealment: July 2026 was told to no one, called a spirit, and followed by “everything’s good.” The second is that you switched off the two instruments you yourself said predict your health, therapy and journaling, in the same quarter the thoughts came back, and replaced them with a practice you administer alone at midnight.
You are 27. You can hold a hostile conversation, sit a friend through a crisis, and teach when you are not selling. You know exactly what resets you. That is a lot to work with. It is not enough to give away.
15. What to do, and what to read
Derived from what worked on your own tape, not from general advice.
- Tell one human about July 2–3, this week. Not a spirit, a sentence. Rebecca, Kelsey, or a crisis line. The one variable separating September 2025 from a bad outcome was that someone was in the room.
- Re-book Kelsey. Your own recording says IFS gave same-day relief on 2026-01-30 and was “more helpful than the Christian frame for anxiety” on 2026-03-06. Stop auditioning modalities; you found one.
- Finish the letter to your father in a week, sent or unsent. It is the only unfinished work in five years of tape that you yourself called the root.
- Put the equity in writing. Jahn offered 50/50 twice. You chose 0% in the most elevated month of the year and resented it within the same recording. Ask again, sober, in writing, and take a number.
- Do the cheap physical things on a schedule, not on inspiration. One film a day (your prescription), a night walk, the piano at volume, breathwork on waking. These are the only remedies with a five-year track record.
- Use the timer and the witness for anything you keep not starting. The five-minute timer and the index card are the only devices that ever produced action. Paired constraints with Ilya produced more in four days than solo tooling produced in a year.
- Before building any new memory tool, do the protected thing for 30 days without it. You stated this rule on 2024-11-20, 2025-09-30, 2026-02-01, and 2026-07-01.
- No MDMA, no fasts past 24 hours. Protect sleep. Every crash on tape followed a stretch without it.
- Finish one thing in 30 days, with the crew. Journey Bound Part 2 is the dream your whole crew said yes to. Ask them for real. A trailer, not the film, by your own doctrine.
- Stop recording new abstract insights until an old one has held for 90 days. The half-life is proven. Test the prosthesis before building another.
Read, in this order. No Bad Parts (Schwartz), because it already worked once. Attached (Levine and Heller), for the anxious/withdrawing pattern you misread as “confident type.” The Body Keeps the Score (van der Kolk), because the rage lives in the convulsion and the blocked scream. The Creative Act (Rubin), only after the first finished thing. Steve Jobs (Isaacson), which you have already read twice, is enough.

Smaller precisions: colon surgery ~2020–21; rectal bleeding Sept 2024; he was 25 in Sept 2024, 26 mid-2025; his mother had him at 39; Rebecca ~1.5 years older, a nurse; the Sadang-dong house slated for demolition, ~$500k payout; the grandfather described as a founding KCIA member; Jane raised in Indonesia; a KBS trafficking accusation and a 2015 hospital handover in the father’s account; income ~$8–10k/month Dec 2025 for ~2h/week; $30k banked Jan 2026, $18k Apr 2026, ~$10k wired to Jahn’s mother May 2026; Journey Bound = AAHSFF film; UCLA ~$65k; the 2024 Korea year financed by mother $1,000/mo, Rebecca $500/mo, aunt rent and food, and a $15k loan request.
17. Biographical facts, from tape only
- Origin. Born to a Korean doctor-missionary father and a mother who had him at 39; childhood in India (“India, what a place”), Korea, Canada, and the Morningstar grounds in Fort Mill (“that place is my home”). Sent to America at ~10–11 while the parents kept the orphanage: “We chose those kids and the mission work over us.” Last saw his father at an airport at twelve until Sept 2024.
- Family. Mother, paralegal-adjacent, bought a house with Rebecca, funded the Korea year, bought the exit ticket, argued the equity decision. Rebecca, nurse, ~1.5 years older, $500/month in 2024, airport pickup the morning after the March 2026 crisis. Aunt “Emo” in Seoul: rent and food, refused to let him dose cousin Kevin. Cousin Jamie. Grandfather, per family story, a founding KCIA member.
- Education. GIA (3D printing, the “mania,” under-recognition), CSCL (Journey Bound with Aaron, Connor, Olivia, Heather, Isaac Oliver; the recurring dream campus), UCLA (~$65k; the recurring “returning and unable to study” dream).
- Health. Chronic eczema, visible enough that his father comments within a minute (Sept 2024); topical steroids on a two-month budget; hanyak, UV, elimination diets. Back pain since ~2020, every avenue tried, “They say nothing’s wrong”; later read as frustration. Colon surgery ~2020–21; rectal bleeding Sept 2024. Chest pain 2026. Cat allergy. Insect phobia.
- Substances. Weed habitual 2022–24, used “to face my fear”; alcohol renounced and resumed; nicotine vape to $100/week (Nov 2024), Zyn with Aaron (2025); caffeine cycled, quit after Vipassana, resumed, quit; psychedelics per §19; porn relapses tied to creative frustration.
- Work and money. Upwork contracts (~$65/hr, the rate in his dreams); college-essay writing for students; the cybersecurity job ($2,600/mo) declined to keep the podcast; the agency with Aaron (~$8–10k/mo for ~2h/wk, SportsIQ >$6k); JetCal exposure; VineView; Upwork suspended. Financially the provider in a two-man household in Korea, Astana, and Tbilisi.
- Relationships. Jo (UCLA, ~2019; the 2021 mania; the benchmark for being understood; the template for Lika). Jane (~4 years, Bumble, Indonesia-raised, “never wanted sex”; the podcast fight; the fade; the 2026 “soul ties” rebukes). Lika (Tbilisi, Jan 2026, mishandled). Olivia, permanent in dreams.
- Places. Seoul (Sadang-dong, the aunt’s flat, the piano, the studio), Thailand (Jul and Oct 2024), Fort Mill (Kendall Green Rd, Ann Springs), Astana, Milan, Tbilisi (Libre, Chaisubani, Kosta Khetagurov), Charlotte / Mint Hill (6141 Wilgrove-Mint Hill Rd, the second house), Key West.
- Creative record. Journey Bound (AAHSFF), Kim Productions, a Blackmagic 6K rig (~$4k), the Altar demo (100k Reddit views, 30 downloads), a 30-hour street podcast, four years of vocal training, a piano bought Dec 2024, one TikTok that got 2,000 views by being low-effort.
18. The father, meeting by meeting
Preparation, 2024-09-19. Rehearses the gift (jipo and Maxim coffee, a re-enactment of the childhood ritual for entering his father’s office) and instructs himself: “start this meeting with the heart of love.”
Meeting 1, 2024-09-20, a Seoul Starbucks. Two minutes of audible panic (“Why are there so many fucking people?… I can do this”). The father’s account: a 2015 hospital handover, 6 of 23 orphans, a KBS journalist’s trafficking accusation, three years at Bethel Redding, remarried 2015, COVID twice, wanted Israel, a pre-marital promise about America. “I’m sorry… I made you like this.” “You were always about 30 in my memory.” Isaac: “I know that I’ve grown up with lies… that you didn’t love me, and I believed that I was unworthy of love… I need to untangle all of these razors” (1:43:25). And the confession of the revenge plan (1:54:10). He asks to record it “because I’m in the middle of writing biography.”
Meeting 2, 2024-09-25, on a roof. The separation from the father’s side. Isaac delivers the fuel thesis and its fear (“if I get rid of this pain, I will have no fuel… That’s the great deception”, 1:22:04), the love-as-battery model, and, via Martha Beck, converts the wound into a credential (“the more that I suffer, the more love somehow that I can give”). He asks his father how to leave Jane, never whether; both parents coach a gradual fade. His father twice says worth is not achievement; Isaac agrees verbally and never restates his goal in those terms.
Meeting 3, 2024-10-01, on a re-dose. The night before, a Kazakh stranger with a translation app: “forgive your father or you will fall sick and die.” He installs it the same night: “I’m going to go now and forgive my father in maybe 10 hours.” Ilya present. A deliverance spoken, “Spirit of abandonment be gone.” Scored “80% free.”
The debate, 2024-11-06, by call. An hour of the father’s theology and parenting: Nephilim, “cover the walls with the blood of Jesus,” free will governs spiritual attack, “Proud of you, boy… you took the wrong round, but you ended up in the right place,” “take it easy, one step at a time,” “connect with mom,” and on Christian passivity, “very demonic theology.” Isaac declares total abstinence and lists competing plans; the father says “go for it, dude” four times. The call drops; Isaac reads the drop as God’s plan. Daily use resumes within days.
Meeting 4, 2024-11-23. The full apology: “I regret my decisions as far as sending you all off alone.” A Moravian Falls / Anna Rountree retreat prescribed and never taken. Isaac: “for the most part I’m healed. With some scars… a gaping wound stitched.” He prays for his father for the first time. The one instruction he took away: “ease up.” Nothing in his December plan eased up.
After. Father absent from 45 dreams, once as an absence (“this other guy, that wasn’t dad… like my stepfather”, 2026-06-19). Absent from the Tbilisi self-examination except the IFS rage inventory (Morningstar childhood: itching, loneliness, rage at mom, dad, society, white people). Returns 2026-03-06 as a warning (“that’s what dad did… gave up his own family for religion”) and 2026-04-29 as the root (“unforgiveness… towards my father”), with a letter started that night, a plan to fly to Seoul on miles and rent next to him, and the words “I will find him” four times. The letter is not mentioned again.
19. The psychedelic record
| Date | Substance | Dose / setting | What happened, in his words |

| 2024-04-27 | Psilocybin | 2g split, park, daytime | Wire-frame beings, pink sky; “there is nothing to be afraid of”; the small dose proves imagination, not drug |
| ~04-28 → 05-03 | Psilocybin | up to 3.7g, unrecorded | Overwhelming loneliness → “never do it alone” |
| 2024-07-20 | LSD | 1 drop, Thai beach, Ilya | Freedom = non-reaction; the surf exposure; “I almost returned to being a kid” |
| 2024-07-21 | (sitting) | Ilya’s shroom trip, 3h15m | Patient, oriented him dozens of times |
| 2024-08-19, 26, 09-02 | LSD | 1 drop each, Seoul, Ilya | Love/unlove; micro unloves; the hug; angels prayed for; math as ground truth; “it’s because of my emotionality” |
| ~Aug 24–25 | LSD | ~30-hour conversation | Partly recorded; the pilot episode |
| 2024-09-11 | LSD | 1 drop, Ilya | Compassion toward the snake; fear confirms fear |

| 2024-10-01 | LSD | re-dose | Third father meeting, state-matched |
| Oct 2024 | LSD | ~2×/week | Millionaires in two months; Chairman Lee; the Avengers |

| 2024-10-20 | Psilocybin | heavy, Bangkok hotel, ~2h sleep, Ilya sitting ~18h | Worst experience of his life; “I made it, Dad”; let-go inverted; wallet and Bible nearly lost; “I’m done with mushrooms” ×3 |
| 2024-10-24 | (sitting) | Ilya, Bangkok | Good sitter |
| 2024-11-19 | LSD | ½ drop, Seoul walk | “I’ve gotten a glimpse again of who I am”; “what if I didn’t have it?” |
| 2024-11-20 | LSD, weed | stacked drops + pre-workout + 2 coffees | Best day in weeks; the dossier invented; “I feel like I have two consciousnesses” |
| 2024-11-21 | LSD | with Ilya | Remote viewing settles Jane; the five-minute timer |
| ~Dec 2024 | LSD | SC, ~1 month after arriving | Rehabilitation of the drug |
| 2024-12-13 | LSD | 20 µg, gel tab in water by syringe, solo night walk, Fort Mill | “the best two weeks”; “a crutch to find who you are”; 40 µg = his usual |
| 2024-12-15 | LSD | 37.5 µg, Ann Springs, after a run, no food | Brutal come-up, then “the best decision I’ve made”; “Hey Astra” conceived; ceiling 40 µg |
| 2025 | none | cravings May 2025; edible microdose while driving with Rebecca aborted a panic | “what’s anxiety trying to tell me?” |
| 2026-01-15 | none | sober | First doubt: “Is that a good idea for me?”; HPPD as association; “20% to insanity” |
| 2026-02-24 | MDMA | booked via Bodhi, $600–1,200 | Not taken; later forbidden by the group; urge rebuked Jul 2026 |
| 2026-07-02 | none | sober | “Psychedelics did wonders for that, but obviously, it made me crazy. And it didn’t really make me make more art” |
Inventory carried to the USA (Nov 2024): 14 drops plus ~10 tabs expected. His own dose theory: emotional state is the multiplier; vulnerable people are harmed.
20. Suicidality, dated
| Date | Said | To whom | Context |
|---|---|---|---|
| 2023-11-19 | Twelve minutes of drill-sergeant abuse on a bridge; three witnessed near-suicides at the Han River later cited as the mission’s trigger | Self, drunk | Earliest |
| 2024-10-05 | “almost killed myself three times. I cut myself. These are the scars” | Self / Ilya | LSD era |
| 2025-01-15 | “I should just kill myself. Not actually, but, you know, I have like a micro thought” | Self | Prosecutor register |
| 2025-09-14 | “how I want to kill myself every other day” (sarcastic) and “I might kill myself, yeah. It’s a risk” | Aaron; unremarked by both | Nine months of panic disclosed the same hour |
| 2025-12-02 | “Every day, I wake up and I just want to die because of these meetings” | Self | |
| 2026-03-08 | “For the first time in a long time, I had suicidal thoughts… I felt trapped” | Self; Jahn texted, no reply | Worst day; recorded next morning |
| 2026-04-26 | Noted in the written dossier | Notes | Baptism day |
| 2026-07-02 | “wanting going to the bridge and just thinking of ending it all… I’m just feeling echoes of that” | Self | Depression bout |
| 2026-07-03 | “I rebuke any evil suicidal thoughts right now in the name of Jesus Christ” | No one | After the piano; “Everything’s good” |
Protective factors on his own tape: a person in the room (Nov 2024, Sept 2025), the piano (Jul 2026), movement. Absent in July 2026: therapist, journal, disclosure.
21. The dreams
Forty-five dreams across 21 recordings, 2023 → 2026. Dominant tones are wonder and social exclusion, not fear: two frightening dreams, no demons. He uses dreams three ways, as omens (the temple figurine, the monarch butterfly), as intellectual property (four games, a tree-POV film, an avatar app), and as self-diagnosis, which is rarest and most productive.
Five recurring structures. 1. The unearned position. Directing a film he knows nothing about and conceding to the more qualified woman (2023-05-05); director’s pants that don’t fit because “I was too big”; the infiltrator chosen because he had a memory problem (2026-06-19); the CSCL consultant at $65/hour, his real rate, twice in one night (2026-06-28). 2. Defying authority and being right. The ER desk “20 feet up in the air because they wanted to be oppressive” (2026-07-05); rooftop acrobatics, “really proficient, but I didn’t want to play by the rules,” waking straight to Steve Jobs (2026-08-01). 3. Sexual approach that fails, is imagined, or is punished. Unspoken to Olivia (2025-06-13); the imagined hookup discovered never to have happened, “incredibly just furious… so much low self-esteem” (2026-07-01); two Jane reconciliations rebuked (2026-06-23); arousal caught mid-dream and rebuked (2026-07-05). Three of the last eight dream memos end in rebuking arousal. 4. Watched by a crowd. The Colosseum audience (2023); the rich watching the poor “because it reminded them of the human condition… like art to them,” a woman’s suicide critiqued “as a rich person criticizes a meal” (2026-06-19, 18:04). 5. Contamination, then washing. Coated in animal waste, cleaned in a rooftop pool with Jahn (2026-06-27).
Recurring people. Olivia, adjacent and unresolved (×3). Jane, only in the rebuked reconciliations. Jo, as a location. Mom and Rebecca as a pair, warning or thwarting (×3). Mom alone, prophesying wealth (2025-09-23) and falling from a cliff saying “eat well, study hard” while he cries “crying, crying, crying. So much… it felt really good to feel that” (2026-08-22), the only affect that breaks through in 26 recordings. Jahn from June 2026, always a companion, never an authority. The father, never.
Recurring places. CSCL (≥5), UCLA (≥4, always returning, never able to study), Korea/GIA (≥5), apocalypse (≥4), water (≥10), airports and missed flights (≥3), night (nearly all).
The four that matter. - 2023-12-05, the note-taking company. He leads, fires 70%, hires by one question, promotes a childhood author. “This is what I was put on earth to do. I didn’t want the dream to end.” He goes back to sleep to re-enter it. The purest joy in the archive, and it is about being the decider. - 2026-05-11, Journey Bound Part 2. The crew agrees instantly; “it brought me back to life.” Then: “they still see me as this incredibly talented kid… And they’re so upset that I’m not making things like I used to.” “Felt like I lived another life. That was so much truer… who I should have been” (9:41). “I’ve only slept seven hours and I just want to jump out of bed and start creating. That’s a miracle.” - 2026-06-19, the cyberpunk wealth divide. “You simply cannot succeed unless you believe as a rich person… all the rich people had belief training systems… that’s why they chose me, because I had a memory problem” (10:03). His own poverty/worth/memory model in costume. He spends the last five minutes deliberately extending it. - 2026-06-28, the CSCL job. His own reading: “I’m just being reminded right now about GIA and how I felt like I was really undervalued there… it echoes what is happening now… they still don’t know. The things that are in my head. The beauty of heavens” (4:25–5:10).
The dream→vow pipeline. In 12 of 21 dream recordings a vow follows within two minutes (keep pursuing Astranote, get MDMA therapy, believe and create nonstop, lock in daily, go deep on piano, be one of the greats). None is referenced again.
22. The people, as they bear on him
- Ilya Bondar. Flatmate and trip partner (2024), regulator and external memory (2025–26), financially dependent on Isaac in three countries. Sat Bangkok for eighteen hours. “You’re my anchor down to reality.” Endorsed the vision as “positive but delusional,” said “you’re sharpening the sword… don’t you feel like you’re not gonna use your sword at all?” and asked four times for falsifiable waypoints. Consistently the more cautious of the two. Isaac’s private verdict: “tendency is to run,” “doesn’t have that fire,” and jealousy of his whiteness and authenticity. A marry-for-visa plan floated three times; fabricated visa documents proposed. In 2026: missed, then judged.
- Jane. The only person he said he would give up his father for. Her line “what you just said right now, what you felt — that’s talent” (2022-07-14) is one of two compliments he preserved. The virginity/podcast fight, the ultimatum, the coached fade, the remote-viewing ratification, the 2026 cascade.
- Jo. Six years on, still the benchmark for being understood and the template for Lika; falling in love with her produced two effortless months of abstinence, his own evidence for the loneliness→porn loop.
- Aaron. Oldest friend, agency partner, single point of failure. “I thought you were crazy,” then “the next billionaire.” Heard “I might kill myself” and moved on. Gave the antidote (“it’s about vibes, Kim. It’s not about work ethic”) which Isaac could not metabolise. Casts Isaac as Jony Ive to his Jobs.
- Azariah. Warned him in Oct 2024: “you’re gonna use other people.” Deflected onto Ilya and Jane.
- Chairman Lee. Reciprocal apology, tears, a co-founder fantasy, a school her son called a cult.
- Kelsey Grant. The therapist who got closest: the blindfold, the convulsion, the protected child, same-day relief. Still rated highest mid-conversion. Not mentioned after March 2026.
- Abdul. “How much of your authentic self are you willing to chop off to get people’s approval?” Isaac: “none, but yet I’m still doing it.”
- Jahn. Heard Jan 24 with the critical faculty fully on; “a fatherly hug” by March; unanswered on the worst night; 50/50 offered twice; the money in May; “I’ve seen Jan get touched” as the evidence that ends every doubt in twenty seconds.
- Mother. $1,000/month, the ticket, the house, the three-day argument, the advice to depend less on Ilya (followed). In dreams: prophecy and the cliff.
- Rebecca. $500/month, the airport, the edible that aborted a panic, the person he goes to find after the Dec 2024 walk.
- The father. §18.
- Olivia, Heather, Connor, Isaac Oliver. The Journey Bound crew, who in his dream are upset he stopped making things, and who, in life, he has not asked.
23. The archive’s own story
The recordings document their own origin, which matters because the later ones contain interpretations of the earlier ones.
- 2021-04-22. Memo 1: “I have a tendency to edit my words.” Addressed to future Isaac.
- 2022-07-04. “I need to figure out how to tune in into this radio channel all the time.” The problem stated.
- 2024-09-30. Memento cited twice: tattoos, notes, rules set in advance for the self who won’t believe any of this.
- 2024-11-20, on LSD, with Ilya. The dossier invented: an if-then Apple Note (“if porn, do this. If nicotine, do that”), because “we just forget… we need to have structures in place… I think, ultimately, that’s why religion was created.”
- 2024-11-21. Started on a five-minute timer during the nicotine crisis. “This dossier should be as frictionless as possible.” A plan to tattoo the rules, and a video idea about doing so, arrive before the first item is done.
- 2024-11-27. Promoted to Astranote’s thesis: “a way to transcend time… gifts of consciousness into the future.”
- 2024-12-15. “Hey Astra,” an AI podcast/voice memo app, conceived on LSD.
- 2025-06-17. A hype-video system designed; eight months later, “you don’t even really have a dossier system.”
- 2025-12. A recording rig and auto-transcribe app, Astana.
- 2026-01-24. “My life mission, something has to be done about this problem of forgetting.” Ilya: what if all these tools are crutches? Isaac: “what if all these tools are like crutches?”
- 2026-02-08. A 1M-context Claude reads his entire Apple Notes. “It did an analysis of my mind… spot on.” “It’s like cursor… but for your life.” It tells him his fire is turned inward, Ilya is a displaced father, and he should make things and delete them. He re-speaks these as his own the next day.
- 2026-02-11. The voice memos become the Astranote MVP.
- 2026-05-20. He records the equity decision specifically so a doubting future self can be overruled: “Just play this dang voice memo. That’s it. Wake up, play it.”
- 2026-05-31. “I have to be very careful not to over voice memo stuff… a lot of these insights, I really need to write it on my heart.”
- 2026-09-01. An AI avatar app “to mask my identity online.”
- 2026-09-08. This document.
Consequence. From Feb 2026 on, the archive contains AI readings of the archive, adopted and re-spoken. Any clean psychological frame after that date (the displaced father, the inward fire, the delete exercise) should be weighted as AI-assisted. This document is in the same lineage.

25. Open questions
- Was the letter to his father finished or sent?
- What did the 2026-04-26 baptism and deliverance consist of, and who administered it?
- Did anyone hear about July 2–3?
- What is in the “jahn and group” folder (30 recordings, not read)?
- What happened in the unrecorded twenty-plus hours of the Aug 2024 session, and in the “lost recordings” the dream memos mention?
- Is the 0% agreement in writing? Exact amounts wired?
- Was MDMA ever taken?
- Would the Feb 2026 conclusions (displaced father, inward fire) have been his without the AI prompt?
- What did the “manifesting” in the Aug 2026 dream refer to, and has deliverance been sought for himself since?
26. Method and coverage
| Folder | Recordings | Span | Words | What it is |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| Dreams | 21 | 2023-04 → 2026-09 | ~30k | ~45 dreams told on waking |
| daily journal | 5 | 2026-03 → 2026-08 | ~25k | Long solo journals, Return to Eden era |
| SELF MEMOS | 83 | 2021-04 → 2026-07 | ~300k | Walk-and-talk, LSD-era monologues, deliverance prayers |
| PODCAST w PEOPLE | 119 | 2024-07 → 2026-02 | ~410k | Mostly Ilya; also father, aunt, Aaron, Azariah, Jahn |
Transcription. Every recording carried Apple’s embedded word-level transcript, checked against local Whisper and Parakeet output; Apple’s was better, so nothing was re-transcribed. Timestamps m:ss are positions inside the recording. The Sept 30 – Oct 19 2024 batch is stamped ~14h behind Korea time; lived dates there are stamp + 14h.
Speaker attribution. Machine diarization (pyannote + WeSpeaker) was tried and produced unusable output on long phone-mic multilingual recordings. Twelve Opus readers attributed speakers by content, address, and continuity with the solo memos, and marked doubt as (speaker uncertain). Nothing said by another person is treated as fact about Isaac unless he confirms it. Other people’s own material (Ilya’s trip content, Jahn’s testimony, family finances not touching Isaac) was left out. The “Ilia shroom trip” recordings are Ilya’s trips with Isaac sitting; none of that content is attributed to Isaac.
Caveats. Korean speech and the aunt recording are partly garbled. The “jahn and group” folder (30) and ~40 unfiled recordings were not read. Post-2026-02-08 conclusions may echo AI output (§23). Inferences are labelled as such in the twelve source reports in sources/voice-memos/, from which every quote here traces to a title, date, and timestamp.
Last updated 2026-09-08 (initial build from 228 recordings through 2026-09-01). When folding in new recordings, change this date and the coverage line at the top, and add only what changes a verdict above.
